Introducing the new xs Mailout Manager

The Mailout Manager is a tool you can use to maintain, compose, send and track your email campaigns in real-time over the Internet.

We saw the demand for professionally managed email campaigns from our customers, so we developed this tool to allow our clients to easily create and manage their own email campaigns with an interface similar to the Content Manager.

The xs Mailout Manager functions as a web-based application off the xs extranet. These screenshots show you what the user interface looks like and how simple and easy it is to use.

"The mailout interface was done completely from scratch. We examined many mailout systems and didn't find a design or even an orthodox / defacto interface that is widespread throughout the industry, so we decided to create a completely new and intuitive interface ourselves." says Roy Sherfan of xs Developments.

The interface brakes up the email campaign into 4 separate stages: The management of email addresses in categories we call "Master Lists", the composition of the Email to be sent out by the "Composer" tool, the actual queuing of a mailout by associating a Master List with an email composition and, finally, monitoring the progress of the mailout to its satisfactory conclusion.

"We felt this wizard-based approach with steps from left to right was the way to go. People intuitively click on items in the top-left hand corner and work their way to the right. That is how we read a book, so the interface is geared to have the most likely options in the position of where the user is most likely to click next." says Roy.

"We have gotten fantastic feedback from users trialing the system. Most users understood how it operates within a few minutes. We are extremely pleased it is so easy to use." he said.

How it works!

Use the Master List tool to manage and maintain your mailout lists. Your users can automatically unsubscribe themselves at any time instantly, in accordance with Australian anti-spam legislation.

Use the Composer to create HTML rich content in your mailouts. Drag and drop products and images into your composition and save them to use and re-use.

Click on the New Mailout tool to send an email composition to a master list, and then click on the Progress tool to monitor the mailout status of your campaign. You can also see how many of your users have successfully read their emails. This enables you to gain instant feedback as to the realisation of your email campaign. Typical email realisation is between 5-25% in the first 24 hours - with near full email realisation within 1 week.
